Digital Textile Exhibit Using Omeka
Omeka is an Open source web-publishing platform that allows users to share, publish collections and Exhibits of Cultural artefacts or assets. For this Project Omeka is used to Exhibit Textile in the Andean Culture with assets that was made available by the women weavers of Cusco CTTC.
My responsibility on this platform is choosing an interface that fits the project and creating an Exhibit or digital presentation of the textiles. Below is a sample of the Omeka site.
Community Tour Using StoryMaps
StoryMaps allows users to share their stories using maps, text , sound and videos.We used StoryMaps to create a community tour to give an introduction of the communities the project is focused on.
My responsibility was to create the Community tour ,to find an interface that will fit the project and use the existing asset to create a visually pleasing interactive tour for our audience. Below is the Screenshot of the feel and look of our community Tour.
Lastly ,my responsibities was to design the overall look of the main site that will hold the above components and some other that were not my responsibility. Below is a screenshot of the Homepage of Portal to Peru designed in wordpress.
